Overview
Infinitum Fest Player was a mobile 360° streaming experience built to bring concerts into a VR-ready player while keeping the app lightweight. The central challenge was delivering immersive, high-resolution video through streaming instead of making users download large concert files before they could watch.

The challenge
360° concert video puts unusual pressure on a mobile product: the media needs enough resolution to remain convincing in a VR viewer, but the application cannot become a multi-gigabyte download. It also has to decode and play reliably across devices with very different hardware capabilities.

Responsibilities
- Built the backend required to store and serve the concert video catalogue.
- Researched compression approaches for the best practical balance of visual quality, streaming bandwidth, and mobile decoding performance.
- Adapted the video compression and decompression pipeline for playback inside the Unity app.
- Integrated and validated the 360° playback flow for a VR-ready mobile experience.
- Tested compatibility across iPhone, Samsung, and selected Xiaomi devices.
Key outcomes
- Streaming-first delivery: concert media stayed on the streaming infrastructure, keeping the app install small rather than bundling heavyweight video files.
- High-resolution immersive playback: the compression and playback pipeline was tuned to preserve the quality needed for 360° concert viewing.
- Cross-device compatibility: achieved reliable video playback across iOS and a range of Android hardware.
